At Cerence, we are always looking for opportunities to shine a spotlight on the countless stories from across our global teams. Recently, we had a chance to sit down with Udo Haiber, Senior Vice President, Mobility AI, currently heading up our speech input and speech output core technologies.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Cerence?
What I like about working at Cerence is that we get to work at a company that has a super big market penetration: we are in every second car out there worldwide!
I like that we can make a big impact with our products: to have so many people that use the products that I'm working on and that we are all together working on all the time!
What’s kept you at Cerence?
I consistently say that this is the people. I like to work here and meet the team every day. I was even in the office five days a week during the pandemic, as I really like working with the team.
Do you have a favorite moment from your time at Cerence?
The favorite was really becoming Cerence the first day. It felt like a smaller company, more like a startup again, where we can influence more and shape the processes.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I do a lot of outdoor activities: cycling, skiing in winter, skiing in summer on a river or on a lake with a boat.
